The Facts
For God so loved the world
"that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life!" (John 3:16)
God's plan is that you may have life
"and have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
The penalty of sin is death,
"for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ as our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
Jesus Christ paid the penalty of our sin in Romans 6:23: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us!"
If we confess our sin, trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from eternal death.
Romans 10:13: "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved!" Therefore, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation!" (Romans 10: 9,10)
So, how do I become a Christian?
First, please pray this prayer to receive Jesus now as your Savior:
Lord Jesus, I believe with all my heart that you came to earth, to deliver me from the wages of sin in my life. I desire a better life, a new life, an eternal life with you. Please forgive me of my sin and come into my heart. I accept your amazing grace.
I accept this free gift given through your precious blood shed on the cross for so many! I accept you as my Lord and Savior and thank you for dying on the cross for me and for others just like me! Amen.
2nd step: Read (Acts 8: 35-40), and be baptized. It will identify you with Christ.
3rd step: Begin to study the Bible and its teachings. The Bible is the "Word of God", so spoken, that will enlighten you to that "higher way", that higher path to journey! As you travel this new pathway, share your testimony with those around you and find a place for you to worship the Jesus, who made a way for your redemption.
4th step: Don't forget to pray! This is as vital to your Christian walk as the rhythm of beat is to your heart! You must count on prayer to survive!
May God richly bless you and shower you with his love!
